NØLSON has been around for 7 years already! It’s our 7th anniversary at NØLSON, and we couldn’t be prouder of what we have achieved! Our journey began with the ambition to introduce high-quality shirts at an affordable price to the market. To celebrate this milestone, we have provided our customers with a special offer of 20% off on all items. It has been an amazing week with many online and offline visits.
And to wrap up this week, we organized a 7-year anniversary celebration on April 1st for our NØLSON family. Everyone had a great time enjoying the delightful tunes by High on Spice, the voice of Lars van der Meij, and indulging in the refreshing beverages provided by Peroni beer, Vinvin wine, and Viper seltzer.
The NØLSON timeline
The journey began 7 years ago when NØLSON introduced its very first item: the Stockholm cutaway shirt. Over the years, we have worked tirelessly to expand our product range. Now, we proudly offer a diverse selection of 26 products in our assortment, including shirts, sweaters, and this year we have also introduced our first jacket. How cool is that!
What once started as a startup from Niek Koedam’s student room has grown into a professional clothing company. After the first few months, the company moved to a shared workspace at Singel. NØLSON got a space to physically welcome their customers.
The first dedicated physical location of NØLSON was situated at Flinkstraat 195. The company was based there for two years until 2018. Due to the increase in customers, popularity, and, of course, revenue, the company has grown into a well-known men’s brand. Since July 1st, 2020, NØLSON has been located in the vibrant Gerard Douplein, a popular location known for its lively atmosphere. We have become firmly rooted in this location and have no plans of leaving anytime soon!

Alongside the company’s growth, significant developments have also taken place within the team. Since 2018, Janne ten Barge has joined the team as the deputy director. Janne, together with Niek, manages the company. In 2022, the company also hired a professional content creator named Robin van Engelenhoven. Robin takes care of all the content creation for our social media platforms, website, and physical store.

The growth of NØLSON has also caught the attention of other magazines, hospitality venues, and festival organizers. In recent years, there have been collaborations with newspapers such as Quote, Man-Man, FHM, and De Telegraaf. Furthermore, there have been various collaborations where NØLSON had the opportunity to dress the staff, including at De Amsterdamse Zomer, Ron Gastro Bar, and Van Dam, which we are very proud of!
